To the extent permitted by law, Fat Prophets and its employees, agents and authorised representatives exclude all liability for any loss or damage (including indirect, special or consequential loss or damage) arising from the use of, or reliance on, any information on the websites whether or not caused by any negligent act or omission. If the law prohibits the exclusion of such liability, Fat Prophets hereby limits its liability, to the extent permitted by law, to the re-supply (or the cost of re-supply) of the information on the websites.

8 Subscriptions and Subscription Prices
To access premium content you must subscribe to one or more reports on the Fat Prophets websites.

To subscribe you must go to the subscription page on any of the Fat Prophets websites, provide the information marked as “Mandatory” and select the payment option for the price quoted (at the time of your transaction). You will then receive a verification email from Fat Prophets indicating that Fat Prophets has accepted your subscription and payment, and you will be able to access the premium content.

Prices published on the www.fatprophets.co.uk websites for Fat Prophets’ goods and services are quoted in GBP or EURO, and are exclusive of VAT and/or all other duties and taxes. Any applicable transport and handling charges will be added at the time of transaction. Fat Prophets has used reasonable endeavours to ensure that prices for subscription to Fat Prophets’ services are published accurately on the websites but these prices are subject to change and Fat Prophets reserves the right to change these prices without prior notice at any time. Prices charged and payable will be those quoted at the time you completed your subscription application.

Fat Prophets reserves the right to recover, as an additional charge from you, amounts for freight incurred with the shipping of promotional items. Included in the subscription price is an administration fee of up to GBP 100 or EUR 100 exclusive of VAT and/or all other duties and taxes. 

The Mint Financial (UK) Ltd (VAT No: 788 1658 71) will issue a tax invoice to the Customer in relation to any supply that is subject to VAT. The amount of VAT payable will be calculated by multiplying the sum of the price for the supplies plus any additional freight or other charges by the rate of VAT applicable at the time of the supply. For the purposes of GST, the words "supply" and "tax invoice" have the same meaning as that given to them in the Value Added Tax Act 1994

9 Cancellations
Member satisfaction is important to us, and we understand that our service will not suit everyone’s needs. Accordingly all new subscribers are entitled to a 14 day money back guarantee (please note that this does not apply to existing or past Members). Any introductory gifts, such as watches, must be returned in their original condition before a refund will be made.

The postmark on the envelope must be no later than 14 days after the subscription was initially taken. Please note, that without exception, refunds cannot be made after the initial 14 days. No pro rata refunds will be given under any circumstances.

10 Key Features of Fat Prophets Platinum Plus

The Platinum Plus service provides a one-to-one personalised portfolio analysis and initial financial “health check”, as well as access to all Fat Prophets value-based investing reports.

The service includes an initial face-to-face meeting with one of our CFA qualified analysts of sixty to ninety minutes duration, enabling clients to submit their portfolio for impartial and professional advice. Clients will be provided with a proposed investment strategy, which is reviewed on a regular and ongoing basis.

Subsequent thirty minute monthly follow-up consultations may be conducted either face-to-face or by telephone. Responsibilty for ensuring these calls happen are shared equally by the client and the analyst team.

After each consultation, a written summary of the advice and recommendations is provided.

The bespoke investment strategy includes the following:

(ii) Risk Assessment

(iii) Asset Allocation

(iv) Macro-economic positioning

(v) Dividend strategy

In addition to direct contact with a CFA analyst, clients also have a dedicated senior account manager. Clients should avail of their account manager to help ensure monthly calls take place. 

Platinum Plus clients also have preferred access to the Fat Prophets Discretionary Managed Account, which includes no performance fees for the life of the investment.

Our obligations

We will provide you with advice as outlined above in the Key Features of Fat Prophets Platinum Plus in accordance with the standards expected of a reasonably skilled professional financial adviser. We will not have breached this agreement if movements in the financial markets result in changes to the price or value of assets in your portfolio.

Your responsibilities

Our advice is based on the information you provide us in relation to your personal circumstances and investment objectives. You should disclose any information which may be relevant to our advice and notify us if your circumstances or investment objectives change.

Termination

Termination of the Platinum Plus service within the first 14 days will allow a full refund as for other products. Cash, credit or debit card refunds will not be permitted after the first 14 days. Pro-rata refunds (for the equivalent report subscription package only) will be made only in respect of agreements of more than one year’s duration. In such case clients will be entitled to receive an equivalent value Fat Prophets subscription package after a minimum deduction of £4,950 + VAT to cover set up and the first year of the Platinum Plus agreement. Deductions of a further £4,950 + VAT will be made for each year or part thereof.

11 Commissions paid to Fat Prophets

Books purchased via the "Recommended Books" page will result in Amazon.com paying a commission to Fat Prophets. Financial products applied for via the "Managed Funds" page will result in the respective entity paying commissions to Fat Prophets.
